The People First Aktion Club

 

The People First Aktion Club meets on the third Friday of each month at the JACIL office in Jacksonville.   Cyndy Benton facilitates this group for JACIL.   Pictured: President Jennifer McCarrey rings the Aktion Club bell with Kiwanian Jim Oliver.

Adults with developmental disabilities meet monthly to plan service projects and develop plans to help promote JACIL in the community. They also serve a great many hours annually encouraging people with disabilities to exercise their rights to vote and to participate in the election processes. They also participate occasionally in service projects with their co-sponsor, the Kiwanis Club of Jacksonville.
